About Me
I was born in a Royal City Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. By profession I am a High School Teacher in Mathematics. From the beginning of my photography I am very much affectionate with Mother Nature. The sounds of egrets-kingfishers-bee eaters, colours of sunbirds, life struggles of various reptiles, green paddy fields and broad green canopy of forest always inspired me. Photography is in my blood which I have got hereditary from my Grandfather, who was an Engineer-Painter-Photographer. I started photography in early 2010. My basic interest is to photograph big mammals, birds and especially tiny macro worlds.
I have started photography with a simple point and shoot KODAK (film) camera in the year 2000. But after some years, I bought a Semi-DSLR Prosummer Camera from Canon. With the passage of time, I have upgraded my gears to Canon DSLR, then to Nikon DSLR D750 and now I am using Nikon D500. My photographic efficiency developed gradually. I participated in various nature photography competition around the world and have been awarded in many International and National contests.
