Darshan Ganapathy
Bio
I am a 46 year old amateur photographer based in Hoskeri, Kodagu, Karnataka. I was born in Sakleshpur and brought up in Mysore. I am a Coffee Planter and I have established a successful homestay. My father worked as a Deputy Conservator of forest and that paved a path between nature and me during my childhood which was mainly spent in Bandipur forest. That is when I fell in love with wildlife. I am married to Ballachanda Dilip Ganapathy, who was very supportive of my passion and always encouraged me. We are blessed with three daughters who look up to my work and are slowly following my footsteps.
Travelling and photography was initially started as a hobby for me . I believe in seeing life and moments differently and try to potray a story through my lens. Freezing a moment in time within an image to tell a story afresh is my aim. Photography keeps me occupied, challenges my creativity and compels me to learn new things, travel more and it’s a never ending process. I have been doing it since the past 5 years and I have gotten closer to it personally. My favourite genres are landscapes, travel, nature and wildlife.
