Theme
Sustainability & Me β A Lifestyle, Not a Duty emphasizes that sustainable living should not feel like an obligation or a burden, but rather a natural way of life. Too often, sustainability is seen as a set of rulesββdonβt waste water,β βuse less plastic,β βsave energyββthat people follow reluctantly. This theme shifts the perspective: sustainability is not about restriction, it is about conscious choices that enrich life and future generations.
Participants are encouraged to explore:
-
Personal Experiences: How small changes in your daily habits (like reusing, recycling, conserving, or mindful consumption) became part of your routine.
-
Cultural/Community Practices: Sustainable traditions or local practices that naturally integrate eco-friendly living.
-
Innovative Ideas: Creative solutions or fresh perspectives that can make sustainability easy and joyful.
-
Future Vision: How embracing sustainability as a lifestyle can shape a healthier planet and inspire others.
This theme invites students to bring out their voice, imagination, and conviction in showing that sustainability is not a checkboxβit is a way of living that feels rewarding, responsible, and forward-looking.
