ISKCON Samskriti presents ‘Arpanam’, an INTERNATIONAL Art Competition for budding artists.

The Bhagavad-gita is an open secret, which guides humanity to lead a meaningful and happy life. We wish to invite our young participants to pay their tribute to the timeless greatness of this song of God on the occasion of Gita Jayanti, the day Lord KRISHNA spoke the words of wisdom to Arjuna. What better way than to express through the medium of art?! Create an art piece to glorify the Bhagavad-gita and share your joy with us.

Guidelines
  • This is an online Art Competition
  • Eligibility:The Art Competition is open under 4 categories (age as on the day of registration)
    • 6-8 years
    • 9-12 years
    • 13-15 years
    • 16-18 years
  • Registration Fee: 125/- (includes GST)
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded
  • The Last date to submit and publish your Artwork is 28th Feb 2023. 
  • Medium: Crayons, oil, acrylic, water colour, pastel, pencil, pen & charcoal. Digital Art not allowed.
  • For the age-group 6-8 years, we will provide an outline softcopy. The participant needs to take a print of the same and colour. 
  • For the other age-groups namely 9-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-18 years, the theme will be a set of shlokas provided in the ‘Theme’ section of this page. The participants create their artwork on an empty colour sheet or canvas.
  • Only authentic, original artwork is accepted. Proxy works, fakes, reproductions, copies, replicas, "Inspired by" creations or any other form of copyright violation will be instantly disqualified. If there are any doubts about authenticity, ISKCON Samskriti reserves the right to demand the proof of artistry. The organiser reserves the right to call for the artwork to inspect authenticity and if in doubt, the entry will be disqualified 
  • Artworks that offend religious, racial, political, social or gender sensitivities will be instantly disqualified
  • Please ensure you title your artwork, describe it and choose the medium when you upload. 
  • The decision of the Jury is final & binding on all participants
  • File Format: JPEG ONLY
    File Size: Up to 5 Mb
    Only 1 Artwork per participant
  • Apart from the image, a short time lapsed video of about 2-3 min of the participant creating the artwork or colouring should be recorded. This video may be demanded later during the evaluation phase. If the video is not available, then the artwork may not be considered for the final judging.
  • Winners will be required to furnish government approved proof of identity & residence. The parent in whose name the Prize money is to be transferred, will also be required to furnish government approved ID Proof 
  • Prize money will be transferred into the winner / Parents account. Winners will be required to furnish bank account details for transfer, when required. Local tax rules are applicable for cash prizes.  Declaring and paying taxes is the participant’s responsibility

How to Enroll

1) Parent Sign Up with the Aarts Maestro platform 
2) Create a Minor Profile 
3) Register for the Competition as a minor and pay the fee
4) Upload Art work and Publish on or before the 28th Feb 2023
5) Please Note: Upon clicking the publish button, your photos are sent to the jury panel for evaluation
6) Please be sure these are the photos you would like to enter for the competition. This step cannot be undone once you publish

* All timelines are at the sole discretion of the organizer and are liable to change with no prior notice

Jury

The Art Competition is judged by an expert Jury Panel, consisting of reputed artists, art tutors & experts. This will enable young artists to get a well rounded perspective on their art and also all round exposure.
To preserve the sanctity of the competition & the jury process, the names of our expert jury panel will made public just a week before the competition results are announced.

The Judging Process and How it works :

  • Adherence to competition rules

The final result will be a combination of Jury Panel and public votes in a predefined ratio. It is in the interest of the participant to forward the entries once published onto Social Media handles, generate maximum interest  & votes for their work.

All votes should be on the Aarts Maestro Platform only.

FAQ
Terms & Conditions

Parental Consent : Registration of the minor for the competition is with full parental consent, as granted during the profile creation process.

Limited Grant of Rights: Aarts Maestro respects the creator's copyright to their work and the same shall remain vested with the creator of the image. By entering into the competition, you grant the platform Aarts Maestro, the organiser / sponsor of the competition, their licensees and designees, the worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free right to use the entry in the platform / sponsor / organizers print, electronic and web communications, on digital assets, products or any merchandise, and in ads promoting future competitions, without further permission, compensation, or notification. You further agree that the said platform / organizer / sponsor shall have the right, but not the obligation, to use your name and /or photograph for the same purposes.

Participant Agreement : Participants hereby understand & agree that the participant data will be shared with the organizer. Participants understand this is a necessary process for jurorship and also to shortlist entries for prizes and award prizes. Participants also agree to receive communication from the organizers on a regular basis with respect to the competition.
