Guidelines & Requirements
1. This is online only Competition
2. Eligibility: The Competition is open to all aged 60+
3. Registration Fee: Fee once paid will not be refunded
4. Size and Format: Only 1 submission per participant
Poetry: Submit poems in a standard format (e.g., free verse, rhymed verse) with proper line breaks and stanzas
Short Stories: Stories should be within a specified word limit (e.g., 1000 words)
Essays: Essays should be well-structured, organized, and presented in a clear and concise manner, adhering to the specified word count (e.g., 1500 words)
5. Creativity: Participants are encouraged to think outside the box and use imaginative approaches to convey their message effectively.
6. Originality: All entries must be original works created by the participants, free from plagiarism or copyright infringement. Only authentic, original artwork is accepted. Proxy works, fakes, reproductions, copies, replicas, "ïnspired by" creations or any other form of copyright violation will be instantly disqualified. If there are any doubts about authenticity; Aarts Maestro reserves the right to demand proof of artistry. The organiser reserves the right to call for the artwork to inspect authenticity and if in doubt, the entry will be disqualified
7. Artworks that offend religious, race, political, social or gender sensitivities will be instantly disqualified
8. Theme and Content:
Poetry: Embrace diverse themes and emotions, using imagery, metaphor, and language to evoke feelings and provoke thought
Short Stories: Craft compelling narratives with strong characters, conflict, resolution, and a cohesive storyline that engages and entertains readers
Essays: Choose topics of personal interest or relevance, providing insightful analysis, arguments, and perspectives supported by evidence or examples
9. Language and Style: Maintain a consistent writing style, tone, and voice that align with the chosen genre (poetry, fiction, non-fiction). Use language effectively to convey ideas, emotions, and messages with clarity and impact
10. The Decision of the Jury is final & binding on all participants
11. Winners will be required to furnish government approved proof of identity & residence & as a precaution to prevent fraud, Local tax rules as applicable for cash prizes. Declaring and paying taxes is the participants responsibility

Jury Information
The Seniors Talent Show is judged by public voting. Participant got maximum vote will be juried again by an expert Jury Panel consisting of experts from each category. This enables artists to get a well rounded perspective on their art and also all round exposure. To preserve the sanctity of the competition & the jury process, the names of our expert jury panel will not be made public until after the results are out.
The Judging Criteria:
- Creativity and Originality: Uniqueness of ideas, imaginative expression, and innovative approaches in crafting literary works.
- Technical Skill: Mastery of language, grammar, syntax, and literary devices appropriate for the chosen genre (poetry, fiction, non-fiction).
- Theme and Message: Relevance, depth, and impact of the themes, messages, or narratives explored in the entries.
- Emotional Impact: The ability to evoke emotions, engage readers, and leave a lasting impression through the writing.
- Structure and Organization: Clarity of structure, coherence, flow of ideas, and effective storytelling or argumentation techniques.
- Overall Presentation: Quality of writing, editing, proofreading, and adherence to submission guidelines.
The final result will be a combination of Jury Panel and public votes in a predefined ratio. It is in the interest of the participant to forward the entries once published onto Social Media handles, generate maximum interest & votes for their work.
All votes should be on the Aarts Maestro Platform only. Social media likes do not count as votes on the Aarts Maestro Platform.
